Buying a pre-owned watch at this level comes down to one thing: trusting the person selling it. Here is exactly how we work, so you can judge for yourself.
Independent authentication
Every watch is examined by an independent horologist before it is listed — movement, case, dial, hands and bracelet assessed individually against the reference.
Nothing reaches the site until it has passed. If a piece does not, we do not list it and we do not sell it on elsewhere.
What the listing tells you
Condition, case size, approximate year and exactly what accompanies the watch are stated on every listing. Where a piece is Watch Only, it says so plainly.
Any paperwork a watch carries is its own — original papers, service records or a previous authentication card are passed to you in full. Where there is none, we say that too.
Seven days to be sure
You have seven days from delivery to examine the watch and decide. If it is not right, return it in the condition it arrived and we will refund you in full, less return shipping.
Take it to your own watchmaker if you would rather have a second opinion. We would encourage it.
If a piece is not as described
Then it comes back and you are refunded — return carriage included. That is not a gesture of goodwill, it is the standard we hold ourselves to.
We would rather lose a sale than have a watch out there that does not match what we said about it.
Payment
Whatever suits you:
- Bank transfer
- Card
- PayPal
- Cash, in person
- Part exchange against a piece you own
Delivery
Fully insured courier, signed for, tracked door to door — UK and worldwide. The watch is insured for its full value in transit at our cost. UK delivery is at our cost; international shipping is quoted per piece, and customs or import duty in the destination country is the buyer's responsibility.
You are welcome to collect in person by appointment instead, and see the piece before anything changes hands.
Servicing
We do not offer servicing in-house, and we will not pretend a watch has been serviced when it has not.
Where a piece carries service history, it is stated on the listing. If you want a recommendation for a watchmaker, ask and we will point you to someone we would use ourselves.
Talking to a person
You will deal with us directly throughout — no call centre, no handoff. Message on WhatsApp, send an enquiry, or call.
Ask anything before you commit. If we do not know the answer, we will say so and find out.
- Private viewings by appointment, with no time limit
- Pieces held up to 72 hours against a refundable deposit
Ask us anything.
No obligation and no pressure. If a piece is not right for you we would far rather you said so than went ahead with it.
Returns apply to pieces bought from stock and accepted in the condition supplied. Sourced-to-order pieces are agreed individually before purchase. More detail on our frequently asked questions.
