Buying a Watch
Every piece in our collection is independently authenticated by a qualified watchmaker before it is offered for sale. We check movement, dial, case, bracelet, hallmarks and serial alignment, alongside any provided paperwork.
If you would like to see a written condition assessment for a specific reference, we are happy to share it on request.
Yes. We offer private viewings by appointment at our London premises. There is no time limit on a viewing — handle the piece, examine the movement under loupe, and take your time. Request an appointment.
Our prices reflect current market values for the condition and accessories of the specific piece. We are reasonable people — if you have a sensible offer, please do raise it. We will not be drawn into theatrical discounting.
Watch Only — the timepiece, no original packaging or paperwork.
Papers — the original warranty card, manual, or service paperwork accompanies the watch.
Full Set — original box, papers, and any other accessories supplied at first sale.
Full sets command a premium for resale value and authentication confidence.
For serious buyers, we will hold a piece for up to 72 hours against a refundable holding deposit. Please contact us directly to arrange.
How we authenticate
An independent, qualified watchmaker — not a sales partner — assesses every piece before it enters our collection. This is non-negotiable and applies to pieces of all values.
The movement is opened, inspected and compared against reference data for the caliber and production period. The dial, hands, case, crown and bracelet are checked for originality and consistency. Serial and reference numbers are cross-checked against any accompanying paperwork.
Timekeeping is measured. If a piece requires service to perform within tolerance, that is disclosed before sale.
Yes — every purchase is accompanied by a written condition report from our watchmaker, detailing what has been inspected and the findings. This is provided alongside any manufacturer paperwork the piece carries.
Selling & Part-Exchange
Complete our valuation request form with details and photographs of your piece. We assess it and come back to you with a fair market offer within 48 hours. There is no obligation to accept.
We assess current market values for the specific reference, in the condition and configuration you have. We are open about how the figure is reached — if you would like to see comparable recent transactions for context, we will share them.
Yes. Part-exchange is welcome against any current or sourced piece. Mention it in your enquiry and we will work the trade-in value into the conversation.
On accepted offers, payment is transferred via bank transfer within 24 hours of the watch being received and verified. Collection is fully insured and arranged at our cost.
Sourcing requests
Tell us what you are looking for via our source request form. We have spent twenty years building a private dealer network — most of the pieces we place are sourced this way, not held in stock.
It depends on the reference. For common Rolex models in stock condition we typically have options within two to four weeks. For rarer pieces — vintage with original dials, complex complications, or specific dial variants — it can take several months. We will be honest about the realistic timeline up front.
No — there is no upfront fee for sourcing. Our margin is built into the agreed sale price, which we confirm with you before any commitment.
